Design Museum features Ubuntu fontsThe Design Museum at London SE1 is to mount an exhibit featuring the work of the typeface and logo design agency Dalton Maag – this includes the new Ubuntu fonts. The exhibit, entitled “Shape my language”, will consist of an installation, suspended within the museums stairwell, of some of the more unusual forms from a range of languages mixed with recognisable characters. The exhibit will run from 28 January to 28 February. “Shape my language” was originally exhibited in March 2010 at the Walking-Chair Gallery in Vienna. In association with this display, Ubuntu sponsor Canonical is offering visitors an opportunity to get involved with the Ubuntu user community. Selected tweets to @shapemylanguage will be projected in the Ubuntu font as part of the exhibit. Comments are closed. |
