Linux Mint 15 Xfce Released

Clement Lefebvre, founder of Mint, today announced the immediate availability of Mint 15 Xfce edition. It has all the same goodies under the hood of other Mint 15 version with Xfce 4.10 as its default desktop. Xfce is preferred by many because of its lightweight design and easy configuration. One of the new features of Mint 15 Xfce is Whisker Menu, that looks like a cross between the Kick-off menu and the Mint Menu. The rest is rehash: MDM now features 3 greeters; new MintSources, aka "Software Sources;" MintDrivers, new "Driver Manager;" Software manager and system improvements; and refined Welcome screen and updated artwork. Other basics include Linux 3.8.0, Xorg X Server 1.13.3, GCC 4.7.3, Firefox 20, LibreOffice 4.0.22, and lots of handy apps and tools. The desktop is a bit plain though.   The unassuming Mint 15 desktop. What bothers me is how the live CD knew where I lived! I swear, all I did was open it.   See the full announcement for the list of download mirrors.
